CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Police say they chased a driver through two cities before he finally stopped.
The drive has been identified as 31-year-old Johnathan Norfleet. He has been charged with misdemeanor eluding and driving on a revoked operator’s license in connection with Tuesday’s chase.
Police say it started around 1:30 Tuesday morning when Chesapeake officers tried to pull over a car for a routine traffic stop on Border Road and Campostella Boulevard, in the South Norfolk section.
They say the driver refused to stop and started driving toward Norfolk.
Police chased the driver, who finally stopped in Norfolk off Kimball Terrace. Officers arrested the driver without incident.
According to police, Norfleet had two outstanding warrants on file for failing to appear in court and failing to pay child support.
