Suspect wearing surgical mask robs credit union in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) — Deputies in Gloucester are looking for a man they say robbed the Langley Federal Credit Union on George Washington Memorial Highway.

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s office says the man entered the credit union around 3:46 p.m. Wednesday and handed the teller a note demanding cash

Deputies say after receiving the money, the man ran to Farm Fresh parking lot in front of the credit union where he got into a small dark-colored car.

The robbery suspect is described as a black male, 6’- 6’2”, 170-180 lbs., wearing a dark hoodie jacket, white stocking cap, blue jeans, and white surgical mask covering his face.

Police say they are looking to see if this robbery is connected to one on Jan. 25 where the suspect was also wearing a surgical mask when police say he robbed the Langley Federal Credit Union on Wythe Creek Road.
