Three adults displaced in Portsmouth house fire

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Firefighters responded to a house fire that displaced three residents in the 300 block of Bedford Court, Saturday morning.

Emergency dispatchers received the call at 7:21 a.m.

When Portsmouth Fire Department arrived the fire was active and found heavy damage to a bedroom, according to Deputy Chief Jim Hoffler.

No injuries were reported to anyone or firefighters.

American Red Cross was requested to assist with lodging arrangements for three adults.

The fire marshal is on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
