Police discover meth lab in Chesapeake

The suspect faces multiple fraud charges; additional charges are pending

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Multiple law enforcement agencies took part in a meth lab bust in the 2600 block of Meadows Landing Friday morning.

The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant to the residence in relation to an identity theft case. While executing the search, with the assistance of Chesapeake Police, a meth lab was discovered on the property.

Isle of Wight deputies arrested 28-year-old Earnest M. Brock on 13 charges as a result of the identity left investigation; seven related to identity theft and six in relation to credit card fraud.

As a result of the meth lab discovery, Isle of Wight deputies served two felony warrants that were secured by Chesapeake Police. Additional charges are pending.

No injures were reported from the arrest.

Brock is being currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk on no bond.

Virginia State Police’s lab clean up unit collected evidence in relation to the meth lab bust.
