HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The Hampton Police Division is looking for a Suffolk man who is wanted in connection with a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital on Jan. 29.

Alexander Vann King, 30, is wanted on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery, aggravated malicious wounding and use of a fire arm in commission of a felony for the incident.

According to police, King approached three people — a 44-year-old Hampton woman and two men — who were in a parked car the night of Jan. 29.

He was reportedly invited to sit in the car — and after doing so, displayed a gun and demanded personal property from the victims.

The car’s occupants refused the demands, and Kind reportedly fired a single shot. The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police say King is known to frequent the Mary Street and Bridgeport Cove apartments in Hampton. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information can contact the Hampton Police Division at 757-727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
