Landline service restored to Gibbs Woods area of Currituck

CURRITUCK, N.C. (WAVY) – The landline phone service in the Gibbs Wood area of Currituck was down for nearly 12 hours overnight on Thursday and Friday.

The outage was first reported shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Currituck County Communications says residents were not able to make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls from a landline telephone.

Liz Hodgis with Currituck County sent a notice to media outlets at 8:51 a.m. Friday that phone service had been restored to residents.
