PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The American Heart Association was on The Hampton Roads Show today, decked out in all red. They want to remind women that Friday is National Wear Red Day to help raise awareness of heart health. While both men and women suffer from heart disease, the symptoms for women are different than they are for men.
Wear red on Friday and visit GoRedForWomen.org to receive a free red dress pin and information about women and heart disease.
The 2016 Hampton Roads Go Red for Women Luncheon is Thursday, May 19th at Norfolk Yacht Club sponsored by Bon Secours Hampton Roads. For more information on sponsorship, tickets and volunteering, call the American Heart Association Hampton Roads office at (757) 628-2610 or visit Heart.org/HamptonRoads.
