Missing Blacksburg teenager found dead; Va. Tech freshman faces murder charges

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — During a press conference on Saturday night, Blacksburg PD Chief Anthony Wilson announced that Nicole Madison Lovell found dead. Her remains were discovered shortly after 4 p.m.

“We’ve located the remains of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell,” he explained.

According to Wilson, she was located just inside the North Carolina border in Surry County. Her remains will be transferred to Roanoke Medical Examiner’s Office.

Lovell’s body was found just hours after police arrested 18-year-old David Edmond Eisenhauer, Virginia Tech freshman. He was already facing abduction charges, and will now face murder charges.

Currently, police are trying to figure the nature of the relationship between Lovell and Eisenhauer.

“This investigation is far from over,” Wilson said. “They’re conduction multiple interviews and reconstructing timeline.”

According to police, Eisenhauer did not confess to the girl’s murder, nor did he provide police information as to where her remains were.

“This is the most devastating thing you can do to a family,” Wilson said. “These are the kind of crimes that rip communities apart.”
