Couple killed, two children critically injured in Caroline shooting

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two adults are dead after a domestic dispute in Caroline County.

According to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, police received a call Friday night at 9:45 that a shooting occurred in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway located in the northern part of Caroline County.

Several Caroline County deputies and investigators along with fire and rescue units responded within minutes. The Virginia State Police also responded to the residence.

According to Caroline Investigators, this shooting appears to be domestic related. Two adults, 42-year-old Andre Gray and 42-year-old Tina Gray, were found dead in the home.

Two surviving family members, one 18-year-old female and a 7-year-old male, were transported to Mary Washington Hospital where they were listed in stable but critical condition.

Sheriff Tony Lippa stated, “This investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time. Please keep the Gray family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
