Norfolk police search for bank robbery suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a bank robbery in Norfolk Friday.

Police say the man entered the Chartway Federal Credit Union inside the Farm Fresh on 21st Street, around 3:30 p.m.

He approached the clerk and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries.

The man was described as a middle-aged black man with a dark beard. Police believe that he is approximately 6 feet tall, with a slender build and was last seen wearing a tan beanie hat, a navy blue hooded jacket, dark-colored pants and dark-colored gloves.
