NASA releases images of winter storm

As the Mid-Atlantic gets hit with a massive winter storm, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released images of the system. The low pressure area from the Eastern Pacific Ocean moved into the Western U.S. and tracked across the four corners region into Texas.

The NASA-NOAA Suomi NPP satellite then observed the clouds associated with the storm. The infrared imaging instrument aboard the satellite captured the images when the storm was over the central U.S.
