Suffolk man arrested, charged for multiple ATM robberies in Va. Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested and charged in four incidences of trying to rob customers at Virginia Beach ATMs.

Latabus Lemont Mann, 28, has been charged with attempted robbery, robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and wearing a mask in public

Police say that three of the incidences happened at a Navy Federal Credit Union branch off of Salem Road on Dec. 24, Dec. 29 and Jan. 5.

In the first incident, police say an attempt was made to rob a citizen at the NFCU ATM, but that no cash or property was stolen.

The fourth incident happened at a Wells Fargo at 905 Kempsville Road. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money in each of the last three cases.

Mann was arrested on Tuesday, and is currently being held at Virginia Beach City Jail.
