DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Two Dare County women are facing heroin-related charges after being arrested by law enforcement on Tuesday.
According to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, the Narcotics Task Force arrested 24-year-old Caitlin Elise Palmiter and 27-year-old Lynn Marque Rowlen during a traffic stop.
The task force reportedly located the women and a vehicle after following up on information it received about people moving heroin from Virginia to Dare County.
During the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was deployed, and deputies recovered heroin from the car.
Palmiter is facing charges of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rowlen has been charged with possession of heroin.
