Police looking for suspects of Hampton home invasion

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Hampton are looking for two men involved in a home invasion incident that occurred on Sunday.

Police have identified 38-year-old Derek Lashawn Debroux as a suspect in connection with this incident.

He currently has warrants for multiple charges: one count of Robbery, two counts of Use of a firearm, one count of maiming, one count of Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of burglary while armed, and one count of abduction.

Debroux is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say that the suspects approached a 58-year-old Hampton man who was in his yard in the 2700 block of Jamestown Avenue on Sunday afternoon. The suspects approached the victim, displayed a firearm, physically assaulted the victim and removed his keys.

They then forced the victim into his residence, displayed a firearm and demanded money. However, the suspects fled the area without taking anything, police say.

Police have not identified the second suspect in this case.
