Inmate who left work assignment returned to Wilkes Correctional

WILKESBORO, N.C. (WAVY) — An inmate at Wilkes Correctional Center was located and returned after he left a work assignment on Monday.

A release was sent out from the Office of Governor Pat McCrory Monday morning that inmate Kenneth Bolden left a work assignment at a Tyson Foods Plant.

Bolden, 36, is a minimum-security inmate serving four to six years as a habitual felon. According to Monday’s news release, Bolden is from the Lexington area and may have attempted to travel there.
