HRT’s new Downtown Norfolk Transit Center nears completion

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – HRT has announced a ribbon cutting ceremony has been scheduled for Friday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m., as the long-awaited bus terminal at 434 St. Pauls Boulevard nears completion.

The terminal will service 14 routes and each will have a designated stop. The center will feature ticket vending machines, benches inside and out, lighting in the evening, improved security and the location is within walking distance of The Tide’s Monticello station.

The public is encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting event. Revenue service begins Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016.
