Woman hit by car in Norfolk could face charges

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police confirm a pedestrian was hit on S. Newtown Road and Curlew Drive, Monday.

According to a police spokesperson, the woman was crossing the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle, shortly after 3 p.m. She was not in a crosswalk.

She was taken to Sentara Norfolk General for non-life threatening injuries.

Dispatchers said charges may be pending for the pedestrian. She has not been charged at this time.

The accident did not impact traffic in that area.
