Police looking for the suspects in a counterfeit cash case

YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is looking for more information after two suspects tried to buy merchandise with counterfeit money.

The incident occurred on Nov. 5 at a Wal-Mart located at 2601 George Washington Memorial Highway. Two men attempted to buy merchandise with two $100 bills, which the store clerk recognized as fake.

The two men dropped the merchandise, left the money behind and exited the store when they were confronted about the cash.
