Gloucester resident gets car stolen after giving two people a ride

GLOUCESTER, Va (WAVY) – The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the suspects who allegedly stole a vehicle from a resident in Gloucester Wednesday evening.

On Nov. 11 at around 6 p.m, a Gloucester resident was approached by a male and a female at Langley Federal Credit Union in the Gloucester Point Shopping Center. The pair asked the resident for a ride because of a family emergency.

After agreeing to give them a ride, the man got in the front passenger seat and the woman got in the rear seat of the car, then they all drove off from the Credit Union. They asked the resident to turn on to Powhatan Drive and then turn onto Williams Landing Road.

During the drive, the man pulled out a gun and told the resident to go to the end of Williams Landing Road. Once they got there, the two people told the resident to get out of the car and then left with the car.

The victim in this case was not injured and the vehicle is still reported missing. The vehicle is a 2002 Silver Honda Accord, four-door vehicle with personalized Virginia License Plates “TOYTOYZ”.

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating the vehicle and identifying the person involved. Anyone with information can call 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
