Police investigating 2 separate armed robberies near ODU

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police are investigating two robberies that happened near Old Dominion University Tuesday night.

The first robbery happened at 45th Street and Colley Avenue around 10:25 p.m. The second robbery happened shortly after near Killam Avenue and 48th Street.

In both robberies, police say, an armed man approached the victims and demanded their personal property. The suspect then fled with their belongings. Neither victim was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-23 years old, 5’10-5’11 and 160-170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a white shirt.
