Woman accused of stealing from synagogue waived right to preliminary hearing

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A former employee at Temple Israel in Norfolk who is accused of stealing from the synagogue waived her right to a preliminary hearing Monday.

Leslie Bradner was in court Monday morning and waived her right to a preliminary hearing. The case will now go to trial.

Bradner was the bookkeeper at Temple Israel for 16 years. She is accused of stealing $60,000 from the synagogue.

Investigators believe Bradner stole money from June 2011 until February 2015.
