No injuries after crash involving school bus in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) – Police say no one was injured after a school bus accident in Gloucester Monday afternoon.

Virginia State Police tell WAVY.com a Page Middle School bus was involved in a crash at Route 17 and Camp Okey Drive. According to school officials, a vehicle ran a red light and hit a second vehicle. The second vehicle then hit the front end of the school bus.

There were 26 students, between the ages of 12-13, on board at the time. No one on the bus was injured, but one of the drivers in another vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries.

All southbound lanes of Route 17 are shut down and traffic is being diverted onto Camp Okey Drive while crews work to clear scene.
