Police search for suspect in Wendy’s robbery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery that happened early Sunday morning at Wendy’s on College Drive near I-664.

A man wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun confronted employees in the parking lot, according to Suffolk Police spokesman Tim Kelley.

Investigators say the suspect forced the employees back into the store, took money, and ran away. None of the employees were hurt.

Police arrived on scene after dispatch took the call just after 2:45 a.m.

Surveillance photos will be released when they become available, according to Kelley.
