Police arrest two in connection with Happy Shopper burglaries

YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s office arrested two suspects in connection with a pair of burglaries that occurred at the Happy Shopper store in the 3300 block of Hampton Highway on Oct. 25.

The suspects are Forrest C. Warren, 19, a Yorktown resident who lives in 3500 block of Hampton Highway and Brandon Raye Drye, a 19 year old white male, a resident of Newport News.

Police say that the pair allegedly broke into the Happy Shopper twice in the same night and stole various items including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, lighters and beer. The items were returned after officers apprehended the suspects.

Both Warren and Drye have been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, destruction of property for damaging the building to gain entry and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.
