Chesterfield Academy parents alerted of incident at school

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — School officials at Chesterfield Academy alerted parents of an incident involving an individual in a ‘Scream’ mask.

According to the letter sent to parents on Friday, some students were allegedly approached by a gentlemen, dressed all in black and wearing a “Scream” mask.

Officials say as the students walked past the individual, the man told the students that if they “didn’t run in 2.5 seconds, he would chase them.”

The incident happened Friday morning in a field behind Chesterfield Academy, on Westminster Avenue.

No one was hurt and authorities are investigating the incident.
