SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Crews are working to clean up an overturned tractor-trailer at the eastbound on-ramp of the 13/32 Bypass.
Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, 911 received a call that a flat-bed overturned and spilled lumber on the roadway. Suffolk Fire & Rescue arrived on the scene and had to cut the windshield from the vehicle in order to rescue the driver. The driver was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to be treated for injuries.
Suffolk Police and Public Works remained on scene removing the lumber. The roadway reopened around 10 p.m.
