Suffolk Police seek assistance in armed robbery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk police are investigating an armed robbery at a Bojangles’ on Bridge Road in northern Suffolk early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 5:55 a.m. after an employee said a man walked into the restaurant with his face covered and “made his way behind the counter and displayed a handgun,” according to a press release from a Suffolk spokesperson. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of money but no one was injured.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male, 5′ 10″ – 6′ tall with a thin build.
