Man injured in shooting on Peafowl Ct. in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Peafowl Ct. in the Bob White Landing neighborhood in Suffolk early Friday morning.

According to a news release from Suffolk Police, officers responded to the 500 block of Peafowl around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting and when they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics performed first aid on the man and then transported him to a local hospital where he is expected to recover.

The victim is in his 50’s and lives at the home on Peafowl Ct., police confirmed. The suspect has been identified as a light-skinned black man wearing a hoodie over his face.
