HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police are investigating a domestic-related homicide after a woman was found dead Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the First block of Tree Bark Lane at 3:44 p.m. after a report of an unconscious woman inside a home. When officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Angelina Williams suffering from multiple knife wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lt. Jason Price told WAVY.com the victim’s teenage son found her. A man working on a home down the street told WAVY News’ Liz Palka he saw a young teenage boy escorted from the home by first responders during the investigation. The man said the teenager was wearing his backpack and appeared to be brought to family.
Another neighbor, who did not know the victim, said his heart goes out to the son. “I can’t even imagine,” said Ron Bennett.
Bennett went on, “After all the shock is over with and it settles in, and he’s got to spend the rest of his life without his mother.”
Police have not released where in the house the victim’s body was found. They also have not released any potential suspect information. Price did say they believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
“This could be a rapidly evolving situation, depending on the course of the investigation,” said Price.
