Police searching for suspect involved in Rite Aid robbery

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a Rite Aid Pharmacy robbery.

Portsmouth Police confirm that they were dispatched shortly after 1:00 p.m. Saturday to the store located at 2004 Victory Boulevard.

Initial investigation determined that a male suspect entered the store, implied that he was armed with a gun and demanded money.

The store employee complied with the request of the robber and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, black jogging suit and sneakers.
