September OBX surf session

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – September was not a good month for surf along the East Coast. But Mother Nature served up a rare moment between storms giving surfers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and in Virginia Beach some fun surf before Hurricane Joaquin stumbles up the coast.

Last week’s howling winds finally let up and Wednesday, September 30th will be remembered for fun clean surf that surfers dream of this time of year.

Outer Banks surf photographer Mickey McCarthy sent Chris Reckling a few images from Wednesday’s session and Chris shared them with The Hampton Roads Show audience.
