Smoke from Hampton garage fire extended to the home

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – There is extensive smoke damage to a Hampton home, from a fire that started in the garage, according to fire officials.

Crews arrived on scene in the 300 block of Falmouth Turning around 9:45 a.m. Monday to find smoke and flames coming from an attached garage.

Bat. Chief Anthony Chittum with the Hampton Fire Dept. confirmed there was no one at the two-story home when the fire broke out, but two adults are now displaced because of the damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
