OCRACOKE, NC (WAVY) — Part of N.C.12 on Ocracoke Island that closed Saturday because of flooding reopened Sunday morning according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry is also running again.
NCDOT is urging drivers to be cautious because of standing water remaining on the road.
All other sections of N.C. 12 remained passable, despite tidal flooding throughout the weekend.
