A fall hazard has prompted the recall of 14,000 hammock stands sold at Bed Bath & Beyond stores nationwide.

The stands were sold under the Bed Bath & Beyond “Destination Summer” private label.

The hooks that attach a hammock to the hammock stand can bend or break. There have been 13 reports of such incidents, resulting in consumers falling to the ground and getting hurt.

Bed Bath & Beyond stores and the company’s website sold the hammock stands from March 2014 through July 2015 for about $100.

Consumers should stop using the product and contact the distributor, Pride Family Brands, for a free set of heavier replacement hooks.
