PORTSMOUTH (WAVY) – Is there anything this girl can’t do? A week after becoming the first girl in Virginia history to throw a touchdown pass in a varsity game, Cynthia brown nailed a 35-yard field goal in the final seconds to give Wilson a 15-14 win over Granby.
The kick, which was her third make of the night, may have been good from 45. The 17-year old is headed to Radford to play soccer on a full scholarship, and she showed why.
The Sportswrap profiled Brown for her touchdown toss. Her coach, Ronnie Ratliff said, “Whatever the call is, something great is going to happen if she’s on the field.” He wasn’t kidding.
