Pedestrian involved in Norfolk car accident

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A pedestrian was hit by a car in Norfolk Friday morning.

The accident was reported around 6 a.m. near E. Little Creek Rd. and Granby St.

A driver made the call and stated that he struck a pedestrian.

Medics responded and one person was transported to a local hospital. Police say the victim is injured, but the injuries are not life-threatening.

So far, no one has been charged, but reports say that the pedestrian appeared to be intoxicated and was in the middle of the street.

The driver stayed on the scene. There was minor damage to the vehicle, but the driver was not injured.
