Armed robbery at Portsmouth convenience store

Greenwood Drive 7-Eleven robbery suspects

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Major Crimes Unit are investigating the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store at 4001 Greenwood Drive Sunday morning.

Detectives say two men entered the business around 6:15 a.m. with handguns and demanded money. The employees complied and the suspects fled the business on foot. No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as a black male standing between 5’6″-5’9″ tall and weighing between 170-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing white pants, white shoes, black t-shirt, and red cap. He was armed with a handgun and had his face covered. The second suspect is described as a black male standing between 5’6″-5’9″ tall and weighing between 170-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing white shorts, white tank top, and blue gloves. He was armed with a handgun and had his face covered.

Anyone with information about this incident or who can identify the males pictured is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP℠. Callers are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court. If a caller’s tip leads to an arrest, the recovery of drugs or stolen property they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
