NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) -Investigators believe a man who came into the Quality Inn on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. on Sept. 4 returned an hour later with another man and robbed the clerk.

A person walked up to the reservation desk at 3:48 a.m. and asked about room rates. At 4:33 a.m., two men walked into the lobby, with their faces covered, armed with handguns. Even though he is wearing different clothing, police have reason to believe one of the suspects is the man who was in the lobby earlier that morning.

Police released surveillance video which shows the other suspect jump over the counter and commit the robbery. He uses his shirt to wipe down the counter before leaving.

Take a look at the video in the player above, and at these images. If you recognize these men, or have any information that could help police, call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
