Power knocked out to 2,400 Portsmouth customers

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – More than 2,400 Dominion Virginia Power customers in Portsmouth lost service Thursday morning.

It’s primarily affecting the Churchland neighborhood.

The issue began early Thursday because of a circuit problem, according to the power company. Power was restored to almost all affected customers by 8 a.m.
