Bon Secours breaks ground on Suffolk medical center

SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) — Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System broke ground Thursday on its newest medical facility, in Suffolk.

Speakers included Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson and Bon Secours senior leadership.

The Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Plaza will house the Bon Secours Cancer Institute at Harbour View.

The 58,000 square-foot, two-story Medical Plaza reflects a $20 million investment and is scheduled to open in Fall 2016. The new Bon Secours Cancer Institute will house cancer patient care needs with the ability to make diagnoses, provide outpatient treatment and offer follow up care.
