Two people report robbery near ODU campus

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) —  Police are investigating a robbery in front of an off-campus apartment building near Old Dominion University, according to a police incident report obtained by 10 On Your Side.

Two people were getting out of their vehicle on 39th Street around 3:20 Sunday morning when two men armed with a handgun demanded their property, according to the report from Norfolk Police.

The suspects got away with personal property, but the victims were not hurt. Investigators could not be reached to confirm whether or not the victims are students.

Although the incident did not occur on campus, Old Dominion University sent an email alert about the incident as a proactive measure, according to a university spokesperson.
