Teen injured in early morning shooting

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — An early morning shooting in Portsmouth left a teenager injured.

Portsmouth Police responded to the 30 block of Channing Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Monday morning.  When units arrived, they found that shots had been fired through the door of a residence.

As a result, a teenager inside the home was injured.  The injuries were minor and did not require transportation to a hospital.

There is no suspect information or motive at this time.
