VB Police search for suspect in Chartway Credit Union robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Police are searching for a man they say robbed the Chartway Federal Credit Union on Ferrell Parkway Saturday morning.

According to Tonya Borman with Virginia Beach Police, a man entered the Chartway Credit Union at 5004 Ferrell Parkway near Indian Lakes Boulevard around 10:26 a.m. The man handed a teller a note that demanded money and implied he had a weapon. The teller handed over some money, then the suspect left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as being in his late 30s and was seen wearing a white t-shirt and a blue hat that had white lettering.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
