Arrest made in Florida Avenue homicide

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police are reporting they made an arrest in relation to a deadly shooting on Florida Avenue last week.

Police say 19-year-old Christian Burden of Norfolk and 24-year-old Alfred Lane of Norfolk shot and killed 31-year-old Antonio Scott inside his home in the 400 block of Florida Avenue Friday afternoon.

Burden was arrested yesterday. He is charged with first degree murder, armed burglary, robbery, abduction, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (x4).

Alfred Lane is wanted for first degree murder, armed burglary, robbery, abduction, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Detectives are also looking for Kamisha Johnson of Chesapeake in connection to this case.
