Woman arrested after stabbing boyfriend

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Suffolk woman was arrested Thursday after stabbing her boyfriend outside a Newport News restaurant.

Police say 21-year-old Joanna Hodge stabbed her boyfriend with scissors in the parking lot of the Bonefish Grill on Oyster Point Road. It’s still unclear what they were fighting about at the time of the stabbing.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, according to police, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Hodge is charged with malicious wounding.
