VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police confirm shots were fired during a home invasion in the Timberlake neighborhood Tuesday morning.

According to Tonya Borman with Virginia Beach police, officers received a call for a home robbery in the 4200 block of Link Court around 4:55 a.m.

Borman said two masked men broke into the residence and one of the suspects fired shots inside.

No one was hit with gunfire. However, a male victim was treated on the scene for non-life threatening injuries. According to Borman, it is believed he was hit in the head.

Borman tells WAVY.com officers don’t get a lot of calls for violence in that neighborhood.
