Suffolk wants your input on new city manager

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk is looking for a new city manager and city council wants your input on the “ideal candidate.”

Besides personal characteristics, citizens will be asked to name priority areas that the new city manager should focus on.

There will be two ways for citizens to provide input: You can take an online survey at:

Tuesday, July 28th – 6 to 8 p.m.
East Suffolk Recreation Center Gymnasium, 138 South 6th Street

Thursday, July 30th – 6 to 8 p.m.
Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC), 1030 University Boulevard in Suffolk.

The feedback obtained will be used to create a position profile, a tool used to recruit and evaluate the qualifications of candidates who apply for the position.
