PD: Man attempted to steal $400 worth of merchandise, stopped by employee

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Police need help in identifying a man accused of attempted grand larceny.

Police said, July 3, the man attempted to steal nearly $400 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart in the 1500 block of Sam’s Circle before he was stopped by an employee.

According to police, the man then left the merchandise behind. He was seen leaving the area in a red older model Ford truck.
