Employees held at gunpoint during Bojangles robbery

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened late Sunday.

Just before 11 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were called to the Bojangles restaurant at 13549 Carrollton Boulevard. According to the sheriff’s office, two suspects forced their way inside the back of the restaurant and held employees at gunpoint as they took money from a cash register and the office safe. Then the suspects ran away.

The suspects were described as African American men in their 20s or 30s, both about 6-feet-tall and with medium build. They were wearing all black clothing (one with red Air Jordan shoes) and blue and black bandannas covering their faces. One suspect was wearing a black and pink backpack.
