DETROIT (WOOD) — The nation’s oldest living veteran will take a special Honor Flight this week to Washington D.C.

Emma Didlake, 110, of Detroit, was a member of the women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II. She will be heading to the nation’s capital on Friday.

President Barak Obama will welcome the 110-year-old veteran to the White House. She will then visit the WWII memorial, her favorite president’s memorial — Franklin D. Roosevelt — and the Women in Military Service Museum.
